Drug Bust this afternoon above the Trout Club

in Community Info

As we discuss and debate the impacts on our mountain communities of the world beyond us, I am thankful that the Forest Service was actively engaged in law enforcement this afternoon.

It is very unclear that camping is in fact illegal. There are multi levels of jurisdictions (Sheriff, Forest Service, Fire) that need to coalesce to have a new plan to keep our mountain safe for our mountain residents and Santa Barbara also safe from fires ignited along our mountain roads, like we had last November. Something has to give. Doing nothing is not a plan.

Yeah was wondering about that when I came home today. The two units were just leaving the pullout. Noticed one was a canine unit and I went huh?

Now to address the illegal camping...
