We had an excellent turnout on Sunday, December 1, for our first fire suppression system demo, which included representatives from the following communities: Mountain Ember Team from Painted Cave, Trout Club, West Camino Cielo, Mission Canyon and Holiday Hill. Because some people missed the Sunday demo, we are offering another opportunity to check out our system. Our last fire suppression system demo for now will be tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4 @ 11:00 AM. After that, Suzie is going to finally get her windows cleaned!
I would like to pass onto you an amazing dash cam video I found on the excellent website, www.wildfiretoday.com. It was done early in the morning of Tuesday, November 26, by an experienced fire watcher. Actually, I saw from my lookout perch on West Camino Cielo the car that made the video go down Painted Cave Road from above. I couldn't believe the car was going down through the flames. At a certain point, it had to turn around. Paste this video into your browser. It will give you a firsthand account of what it was like on Painted Cave Road that night.

Please join us, if you weren't here on Sunday. Also, please spread the word to anyone who might be interested. P.S. I just found out that SB Fire Marshall Rob Hazard will be here at 12:00 PM.

Well, here is a really jittery video, I think, sorry
This was an amazing set up and demonstration. Truly inspiring. We hope to post video of it in action in the next day. It gave us a lot to think about for, not only individual fire protection, but how it could be incorporated into the community system. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!
