Woo Hoo, we had a great turnout, 9 Volunteers to help burn a couple of piles on Ted Adams property, but that is a misnomer, it was 2 piles supplemented by SEVERAL other piles spread around the property.
Patty Glegg (new member of the team and the mountain) was present to take photos that I hope will be posted soon here.
We racked up around 35 hours of volunteer time. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!
We are looking forward to some more burns in the next few weeks (fingers crossed).
Please feel free to join us, we are looking for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays as burn days if the County says yes.
I will try and post if they are actually burn days and will send out emails to let you all know!
THANK YOU!!!!
Great to have San Marcos Pass Fire Department there to provide excellent training.
A
great training experience and terrific progress on fuel mitigation in what could be a path for a wildfire that might threaten our community! Fantastic enthusiasm and excellent work ethic, with just the right mix of safety, good practices, teaching, hard (and hot) work, and a few jokes sprinkled in! Here are some pictures from Patty Clegg!

Thank you for the opportunity to serve. It is great getting valuable training on team participation, fire behavior, and proper techniques on fire suppression using fire hose.
Way to go MET Community Defense Team! Always better to burn it safely rather than have that extra fuel around when fire danger levels are high.
Thanks to all of you volunteers.
