Becoming a "Friend of the MET" requires a one-time contribution. The specific fee depends on the level of contribution: Bronze ($50), Silver ($100), Gold ($500) or Platinum ($1,000). Contributors, whether private individuals or business and corporate entities, will be memorialized below.
Friends of the MET receive lifetime membership. This designation does not expire and does not permit the right to vote for directors or on annual ballot items.

Friends of the MET
Over the years, there have been many individuals that reside outside of the Painted Cave Community geographical area that have expressed a desire to become a MET member. Additionally, there are businesses and corporations in Santa Barbara County that have shown interest in supporting our non-profit financially.
In response to this, the MET has developed a special status titled "Friend of the MET". This is a lifetime membership tailored to individuals that wish to support the MET, but forego the right to vote on directors or ballot items.
Only paying members within the Painted Cave Community geographical region (Painted Cave Road and East Camino Cielo between Hwy 154 and Knapp's Castle) are permitted to run for the MET Board of Directors or vote on ballot items.
