Jeff saw a bear Friday night at the cave. The bear ran up the road, then dropped down into the creek, toward the pump house. This field cam photo was taken near the pump house. The bear broke those fence boards and pulled the trash can out.

That would be both. That was fresh bear scat in a driveway of the Lower Loop the same night, probably just before Jeff saw it. Lucky guy!
This bear has been around for a couple of months. Here is fantastic information about black bears. Please note, since 1900 - there have been 3 deaths attributed to black bears. That's 3 deaths in almost 120 years. They are not the bears you see in movies.
