Hi Nina! I couldn't help but think today (seeing 82 degrees) that the snakes are probably very hungry after a prolonged cold spell. I'm sure they're going to be out in full force! Last year was a rattlesnake year for the record book! We always have them, on the outskirts, but last year they popped up in the middle of the Community many times, and we had at least 5 different visits on our property. We let ours be and give them space, others relocate, some dispatch them. Everyone has a different comfort level. But I believe it is our responsibility to know that we share space, and to keep an eye out... for all snake and critters. We don't have sidewalks and streetlights (thank goodness), so it's our job to keep track of where we're putting our feet... and hands. Mindfulness....
Thanks for the heads up, I had one try to snake its way into my shop this morning!!
Lots of hard went into this. Thank you all. A wonderful community I am proud to be apart of.
Warning: I hike a ton. Over the past 12 years I’ve seen around 2-3 snakes. Overall! This year alone ( since February) I’ve seen 8!
So keep your eyes vigilant when weed whacking!!
Thank you all again.
This is an exciting time for the community, to see so much interest and involvement is truly a blessed thing to behold. It was a long time in coming, but it is here now. YAY to my neighbors!!
Thank you all so much for your contribution and support. I am over the moon with joy and excitement for what lies ahead!
